It's what everyone in the real estate metaverse has been talking about: The Wildlife Ordinance! So, what is it, why does it matter, and what does it mean for YOU?
If you live in the hills north of Sunset between the 101 and 405 (i.e., me and anyone in Bel Air and Laurel Canyon to Studio City and Sherman Oaks), the city is testing a "pilot program" that would limit what developers can build (spoiler: not as much as they could before!) and what homeowners can add onto their existing properties (think height/fencing/addition restrictions). The goal: to help wildlife freely cruise the canyons (RIP, P-22). The problem: How it might adversely harm home values.
In other news, Jonathan and I have been busy launching our gorgeous new listing in Hancock Park (see: The Plymouth Estate), while scoping out the latest inventory (there are some pretty spectacular homes that have hit the market) and trying to stay 🆒 🆒 🆒.
So leave those Wimbledon whites on, because the summer heat haveth arriveth! And you and yours are cordially invited over for some tasty libations on the deck. (Steal my favorite on-repeat recipe below—tastes like summer in a cup.)
